Ace Island Flooring & Finishing has been laying floors on Vancouver Island since 2020. We're not a showroom with a subcontractor list, the people who measure your floor are the people who install it, and that's the entire point.
Accountability doesn't survive a handoff
Most flooring in this market is sold by one company and installed by another. The showroom quotes it, a subcontractor lays it, and when a seam lifts eight months later each one points at the other. We've been called in to fix the results of that arrangement more times than we can count.
We measure, quote, supply and install as one crew. If something's wrong, there's exactly one number to call, and no one to blame it on.
It also means we'll tell you when you don't need us. A lifted seam is usually a repair, not a replacement, and we'd rather do the small job honestly than sell you a floor you didn't need.
What you can count on
We quote in person
Subfloor condition is the biggest variable in any flooring price, and nobody can judge it from a photo. So we come out, measure, and quote what we actually find. Free.
One written number
Material, underlay, prep, removal of the old floor, and labour, together. If the subfloor needs levelling, it is in the quote, not discovered on install day.
We move your furniture
Clear the small and fragile things; we handle the rest and put it back. Tell us in advance about anything unusual, a piano, an aquarium, a wall-mounted TV.
We clean up daily
Not just at the end of the job. Removing an old floor is the dusty part, and we seal off rooms we are not working in.
Licensed and insured
Liability insurance and WorkSafeBC compliance, with proof provided before we start. Filed in advance as standard for strata and commercial work.
Lifetime workmanship warranty
On our flooring installations. If our work fails, we come back and fix it. The material carries its own manufacturer warranty on top.
